The programme for the East Neuk Festival is now online!
The festival held in the Scottish Highlands amidst picturesque lakes and historical castles originated in 2004. The widely followed East Neuk successfully draws young artists and long-standing names alike to the Scottish Highlands. Christian Zacharias, for example, is a long-standing guest of the festival, who captivates audiences with his versatility both as a conductor, chamber musician and performer at recitals. Julian Steckel, who will be performing at the festival for the first time, will also display his surpassing musicality as well as his technical mastery in multiple concerts. Christian Zacharias and Julian Steckel will join forces for the festival’s grand finale performing Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, Shostakovich’s first cello concerto as well as Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 in C Major.
