In a few days, the Konzerthausorchester in Berlin will once again be welcoming Christian Zacharias. The programme has plenty of musical variety in store: In addition to Mozart’s overture “Le nozze di Figaro” and the piano concerto in F major, Haydn’s symphony no. 83 and Poulenc’s sinfonietta can also be heard. A live performance by Christian Zacharias is a one-of-a-kind experience. With his powerful stage presence, he leads the orchestra with lively gestures from the conductor’s stand, but also from the piano.

His appearances in Berlin follow a successful concert series with Christian Zacharias and the Bamberg Symphoniker during which the musicians presented an equally intriguing programme featuring Stravinky’s concerto in e flat “Dumbarton Oaks”, Mozart’s piano concerto no. 27 in b flat major, Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” and Mozart’s “Paris” symphony no. 31 in d major.  The Erlangen news writes the following of Christian Zacharias: “With the remarkably vibrant accompaniment of the “Bamberg ensemble”, Zacharias once again affirms his reputation as an exceptional, surpassingly virtuoso musician with this masterfully crafted performance, brilliant in every respect.”
