For more than a decade, Christian Zacharias helped develop a leading sound as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra.

On numerous tours, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra has proved its reputation as a leading international chamber orchestra. A series of recordings documenting the long-standing artistic collaboration between Zacharias and the orchestra can be heard, with Mozart piano concertos, Schumann symphonies and the Berlin Symphonies by C.P.E. Bach being particularly noteworthy.

On February 13th/14th, Christian Zacharias returns to his double-duty as conductor and pianist with the orchestra performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto no. 2 and Dvořák’s Legends. The charismatic and exceptional artist should once again inspire the audiences, rejoicing in a true concert experience.
