On August 3rd and 4th Christian Zacharias is travelling to New York. Together with the festival orchestra of the Mostly Mozart Festival he will present a Mozart program consisting of the 38th symphony, two arias with the singer Rosa Feola as well as the piano concerto no. 25 in C major. This festival and its orchestra are the only ones in the US to dedicate their entire body of work to the classical epoch in music. With Zacharias they consult an expert of the Classical era whose performances are characterized by stylistic accuracy, musical maxims and aesthetical sounds.
Afterwards, Zacharias will journey on to Spain. On August 18th in San Sebatián, he will lead the Euskadiko Symphony Orchestra and the Andra Mari Choir through a program with Mozart’s piano concerto no. 24, Haydn’s symphony no. 49 and the requiem in C minor.
